Patients: FOR EMERGENCIES, DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE. CALL 911 to alert emergency services. They can then call the office if needed, or an emergency room physician can call our office. In an emergency, time is critical, and the fastest way to reach emergency medical staff is to CALL 911. If you do not have 911 available, then call your local emergency medical service. VERY IMPORTANT: For medication refills, call between 9:30am and noon on Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Medication will not be refilled after regular office hours or on weekends or holidays, so please plan ahead. Calling in the morning allows us to address your request in a timely fashion. You should call your pharmacy before 3pm to confirm that the medication that you requested in the morning has been represcribed, and the pharmacy can then call us if there is any problem with your refill. Your pharmacy may fax refill requests automatically, and these will generally be refilled within two business days. It is advisable, when possible, to request your refill at least a week before running out of medication. If you get your medication by mail, you typically need to call a month in advance. For routine questions and appointments, please call our office number during regular office hours, 9:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. If you do not have an emergency, but need to reach a River Oaks Neurology physician after hours, you may use the office number any time. You will be directed how to contact the physician on call.
